Prospera has always been known for embracing innovation and adopting new technologies early. True to that spirit, Scuba Shop is proud to announce that we are the first Avelo Center in Honduras.

We have launched a dedicated landing page that fully explains the Avelo system and answers the question: What is Avelo?

In simple terms, Avelo replaces the traditional BCD vest and weight belt with a much lighter Hydrotank. Instead of using air for buoyancy, Avelo uses water. Air is highly compressible and reacts strongly to pressure changes, which forces divers to make constant adjustments. Avelo solves this problem by eliminating large compressible air pockets, delivering far more stable and intuitive buoyancy control.

This represents one of the most significant innovations in scuba diving in decades. We are excited to be the first Aveleo Dive Center on Roatan — and in the entire country — to offer it.
